Miakka’s amenities will reflect the simple, understated style of the region. Using the finest native materials, the built forms will be welcoming and comfortable and will sit easily upon the land, as if they evolved over many generations. Designed in the traditional Florida Cracker style of architecture, the buildings will feature wide covered porches, cedar and cypress siding, stacked stone, and limestone pilings as appropriate. Each will be carefully oriented on its site to accentuate shade, cooling breezes and view corridors.

CLUBHOUSE
Overlooking the golf course, the elevated clubhouse will be an iconic image and can be seen from nearly every hole. The covered porches and expansive patios offer breathtaking views of the course and countryside. Members’ locker rooms will include spacious wooden lockers, massage rooms, private shower and changing areas and locker attendants will be on hand to cater to the needs of members and their guests. The dining room will be the main gathering spot for post-round cocktails and exceptional cuisine. In good weather, the dining room will feature a Nana Wall that opens onto the patio for an incredible indoor/outdoor experience. The private dining room will be ideal for hosting intimate parties or meetings of friends and colleagues, and adjacent to the climate-controlled wine room, the Chef’s table allows diners to peer into the kitchen where craft cocktails and boutique wines can be paired with a custom menu to create an unforgettable dining experience.
THE STILL
Reminiscent of an old moonshiner’s distillery, The Still plays off Miakka’s Old Florida heritage. It is a charming, informal gathering spot overlooking the lake near the heart of the golf facilities. Here, members and guests can relax and enjoy a favorite snack or beverage while swapping stories or reliving the best shots of the day. Other highlights will include billiards, golf simulators, fire pit, bocci, fishing and horseshoes.
THE CABINS
Based upon the traditional designs of the original settlers’ homes, the cabins at Miakka provide ideal accommodations for members and guests. Perfectly designed for golfers, the cabins are available in 4- and 8-bedroom floor plans with a large common area, screened porch, wet bar and coffee service. They are clustered near the 12-hole par-3 course and are convenient to the championship course, The Still, clubhouse, and the 38-acre lake.
