The Course

Miakka Golf Club is a pure golf environment with two miles of Myakka River frontage and no distractions or encroachments of any kind. The 7,700-yard course, co-designed by Fry/Straka Global Golf Design and PGA TOUR Player Paul Azinger, boasts wide fairways and no rough, with bunkers and hazards accented by native areas jutting into the line of play. It will be one of the first courses in Florida to use Stadium Zoysia on the tees and fairways to create an immaculate playing surface. Aesthetically, the course will resemble Australia’s famous Sandbelt courses. Ideally suited for walking, the club will also offer a premier caddie program.

“Miakka is one of the best natural sites for golf we’ve ever seen.”

– Dana Fry and Jason Straka, Fry/Straka Global Golf Course Design.

Par 3 Experience

Though diminutive in size, the 1685-yard, 12-hole par-3 course will be enjoyable for all and maintained to the same exacting standards as the championship course. Like the championship course the par-3 course will be sodded and sand capped. The artfully designed par-3 holes will provide thrilling and fun opportunities to test your skills against friends and fellow members while its proximity to The Still will ensure everyone has a great time.

Practice Facilities

Miakka’s preeminent practice facilities will feature a 360-degree driving range with tees hitting from all directions, and a 7-acre short-game area with multiple bunkers, chipping areas with different types of lies that a golfer may encounter on the course and an expansive putting green.
