The Herd – July 2026

With the last piece of sod laid and all 18 greens now seeded, work has moved on to other areas of the property that will enhance the Miakka experience for our members.

The practice facilities designed by Dana Fry and Jason Straka are without peer. As you’ll see in this issue of The Herd, the same care and attention to detail applied to the golf course is being applied to the driving range, chipping areas and practice greens. The 360-degree driving range will give members the chance to practice in a variety of wind conditions (if they choose) while full drainage is being placed under the chipping areas and practice greens to ensure an optimal playing surface. The shaping of the par 3 course is well underway as well. The Herd will feature its progress in a future issue.
